Mmmm, look at that cover. Bold. pink. blue. It's a sketchy scan, I know, but that's a skill I'm still working on. give it time. While the colorful design doesn't do much to reflect the feel of the movie's dim parking garages, flats, and warehouses in a way it still fits. That detached floating head and the flat blue background give it this spaced out, unfocused mood that goes with movie's odd crime-thriller.

Because it approaches the genre from a totally sideways upside-down direction, and the soundtrack reflects this. Where another action movie might have, say, big orchestral hits and fight music, here you get... opera. You get moody drone with cluttered percussion... You get two versions of a solo piano piece called "Promenade Sentimentale". love it.

SIDE A
1. Aria from "La Wally" (Vocal by Wilhelmina Wiggins Fernandez)
2. Sentimental Walk
3. Dead End
4. Gorodish
5. The Zen in the art of Bread and Butter
6. "La Wally" (instrumental)
SIDE B
1. Sentimental Walk (second version)
2. Ground Swell
3. Metro Police
4. The Priest and the West Indian
5. Abandoned Factory
6. Aria from "La Wally" (reprise)

Also, I made a mix to go along with the soundtrack.

I think it works pretty well, too. I especially enjoyed the total mood-flip towards the end. In fact- on it's own, I feel like "Jo Unki Tamanna" is a fairly unremarkable song, but at the end of the mix like this it becomes great. Those last chords? perfect. Oh!
the other big development: I figured out how to make chapter markers, so now when you listen on your apple ipod you can skip around. If you MUST. If you for some reason can't listen to one thing for 40 minutes.

Recorded to Side B of the strangelight tape. That tape is FINISHED.
